Bio

Hello! My name is Gabriel Ignacio Cortina, a passionate author of children’s stories. I’m an Illustrator, Graphic Designer, and University Diploma holder in Emotional Management for Education. My life is imbued with music, books, art, and philosophy. For the past 25 years, I have been dedicated to creating content for children, including educational textbooks, children’s stories, and playful and educational activity books, which have been published in various countries and languages such as Spanish, Italian, French, Polish, and English. I have had the honor of participating in 15 international Book Fairs, offering talks and workshops for both children and adults. My commitment extends to sensitive topics such as premature births, childhood grief, and emotional intelligence. For example, at the Buenos Aires International Book Fair, I conducted the workshop for children “My Birth, My Story, My Tale,” and in 2023, I presented the talk-discussion “How to Talk to Children About Death and Grief? Children’s literature as a tool for emotional grief management in childhood.” In 2020, I was awarded the first prize for Latin American illustration by the University of Palermo. In my books, I seek to address themes that provide tools to foster critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and personal growth. I firmly believe that stories are a valuable tool for understanding human nature, fostering self-observation and emotional self-regulation, as well as developing social skills and assertive emotional communication.
